• Are helmets included with bike rentals?

  Helmets are included in every bike rental. Per NY law, children under 14 are required to wear their helmets.

• Can I prebook bikes?

  As of 5/23/24, bike rentals operate on a first-come, first-served basis, with exclusively walk-up tickets available. To inquire about prebooking bikes for an event or group outing, please email info@lakesidebrooklyn.com

• Where can we take the bikes?

  Lakeside has a designated bike path for all bike rentals. This route takes a scenic loop around the lake. Please note all regulations and rules must be followed.

• Where do I go to rent bikes at Lakeside?

  You'll see the bikes on your way into the center, but head on into the rentals office in the main facility to pay for your rental before beginning your bike ride! Our staff will also be able to outfit you and your crew with helmets.
