• Are life jackets provided?

  Every boat rental includes personal flotation devices or life jackets.

• Can I fish from the Lakeside boats?

  Fishing is not permitted on the Lakeside boats. Visitors looking to fish may do so from the shore in permitted areas. For more information, please refer to the Prospect Park Alliance.

• Can I prebook a boat?

  As of 5/23/2024, boat rentals are on a first-come, first-served basis, with exclusively walk-up tickets available. To inquire about prebooking for an event or group, please email info@lakesidebrooklyn.com!

• What ages can boat?

  Small children are allowed to ride on pedal and swan boats with qualified adults. Kayaks are 12+ years.

• Where do I go to rent a boat at Lakeside?

  To start off your boating adventure, visit the rentals counter in the main facility (look for all the skates!). Our staff will help you select a boat, pay, and then point you in the right direction for your launch!
